Tips for making the most of your Atkins Carb Counter

Add foods to the Carb Counter
Follow these steps:
1) Open the Log Your Carbs form.
2) Click the Add button.
3) Select an item from the Food Look-up.
4) Click the “Add to Carb Log” button at the bottom.
Create your own food entries
Follow these steps:
1) Go to the Food Look-up.
2) Select “My Foods” in Food Categories (it’s at the top of the list)
3) Click the Add button at the bottom.
4) Enter a description, portion size and carb value, then select OK.
5) Your new food will be entered in the Food Look-up.
Use your new food entries
1) Go to Log Your Carbs if you want to add it into your daily items.
2) Click Add on Log Your Carbs, and choose My Foods in Food Categories.
3) You should see your food in the list. Select it and click “Add to Carb Log”.
Easily navigate throughout each section
Use the 5-way controller on your handheld to scroll up or down in food lists, or within long text boxes.
Display the entire name of items in the Food Look-up
Double-click on any food item to see the entire name of the food displayed.
Search for foods
Quickly search for foods in the Food Look-up by entering a word next to the magnifying glass near the bottom of the screen, then click on the magnifying glass.
Quickly add your own food entries
After you have entered a new food under My Foods (see “Creater your own food entries” above), just return to My Foods to use it as often as needed. Remember that you must open the Log Your Carbs form and click the Add button first, then select an item, then click “Add to Carb Log” to put the food into the Log Your Carbs form.
Enter your daily carb limit
Before you can start tracking your daily net carb intake, you must enter enter a number in the Setting Goals form. On this form, you will find ”Set Daily Carb Limit” where you manually enter a number for your daily carb intake goal.
Turn the alarm function on or off
You can turn the alarm on and off in the Log Your Carbs form, or in the Setting Goals section. In both forms, you change the alarm’ setting by clicking on the on/off box and selecting either the on or off option.

If you have questions about the Atkins Carb Counter you can get help by simply clicking on the question-mark icon “?” in the top right corner of the application. Update reports in “Your Stats”
In the Your Stats form, you must click the “Update” button near the bottom of the screen in order to display a report.
Keep track of your weight
You must enter your weight when you begin using the Atkins Carb Counter, as well as enter any changes in your weight, in order to display it over time in Your Stats.
How to keep track of your thoughts and feelings
Use the Journal to jot down ideas, thoughts, feelings and questions to yourself about the Atkins Nutritional Approach™. Try to record what worked well on a given day, what you’d like to change, or things to learn more about. You can easily return to your notes later.
