What's new in version 1.3 for Palm OS?
  1. The Food Look-up now features a scrollbar in Sub-categories which contain a large number of food or beverage items.
  2. Bugs fixed when long entries are made in the Journal.
  3. Long entries can now be made in any text field. This is especially useful when transferring data entered in the PC version of the Atkins Carb Counter to the Palm OS version.
  4. When exiting the Setting Goals interface, a new selection of the Atkins Phase is not saved if the Cancel button is clicked.
  5. FREE upgrade for customers who purchased versions 1.1 and 1.2
How do I obtain an upgrade to the latest version of the Atkins Carb Counter?
First, launch the Atkins Carb Counter on your handheld, open the menu, and go to the “About” screen. Check the version number of your software, then go to the Upgrades page on our website, and check to see if you have the latest version. If you’re due for an upgrade, just follow the instructions on our Upgrades page. Which devices are compatible with the Atkins Carb Counter?
  • Palm OS Version 1.3 Compatibility: Palm OS 4 and higher. Not compatible with Tungsten W or handhelds with grayscale screens such as Zire 21 and m500.
  • Windows Mobile / Pocket PC Version 1.1 Compatibility: Windows Mobile / Pocket PC 2002 and higher.
  • Windows PC Version 1.1 Compatibility: PC with windows 2000 or XP (PDA not required).
I’ve installed the program to my handheld, but it’s not working right. What should I do?
Most likely, the problem is that the files “FoodData.pdb” and/or “ALG.prc” are not installed. Please be sure that all three of the following files are installed to your handheld. You can find the files in the ZIP file which you downloaded, or on the CD-ROM if you purchased the boxed version.

First, find the Atkins Carb Counter icon on the main interface of your handheld, and click it to launch the program. Once you're in the Atkins Carb Counter, you will be guided through several screens to enter your personal information and set your goals. After you have completed these screens you will be taken to the home page and you can begin to use the application.
I purchased the commercial version of the Atkins Carb Counter software. May I install it on a second handheld?
You can install the Atkins Carb Counter on all the handhelds you personally own, but may not share it with other people.
